Plans: A Trailerable 20′ Junk?

NU-WA 20, 20’ SCHOONER-RIGGED PLYWOOD JUNK

If this doesn’t at least make you stop and dream just a bit, you’ve gotten a bit stale.  What an adventure this would be to build and sail!  We’ve always liked a good number of the plans coming from Tad Roberts at TadRoberts.ca, but this one hit us hard.  Time to go dream for a while.  No price is given for plans, and I am not certain they are complete yet.  Contact him for more information.

His website says, “A tiny schooner rigged junk for day cruising and occasional overnights on a large inland lake. The cabin is filled with windows and her double doors open the interior to the covered cockpit for maximum space. There’s a large double berth forward, a small galley area, and private head space below. The cockpit will seat four and has an outboard engine well aft to port.

Plywood construction using either fillet and tape or solid timber cleats with screw fastenings. Plywood planking, deck, and house on plywood bulkheads spaced 650mm (25”).”
